Dr. Feickert Volare
Volare… not only a slogan! Taking the time to develop everything new from scratch, Dr. Christian Feickert finally ended up with a nicely compact and elegant new turntable. This new design has all the virtues the brand are famous for – perfect neutrality, elegance in appearance and build quality, to name but a few. But getting there was not an easy one. All their core components used in the bigger model lines underwent an evaluation if they suit the new design approach. It turned out pretty soon that all of them had to undergo a complete redesign. Testing and refining recursively ended up in this new design that will be a benchmark not only in its price-range of products. As their universal sliding armboard mechanism could not be transferred to the Volare, still, there is an easy way to swap to other tonearms almost on-the-fly at low cost in a short time…
Lots of potential customers asked for a lower priced model preserving the Feickert ideals in design, sound and build quality. The question always was, if they could. The answer? Yes, they could!
So, mission accomplished! Dr. Feickert Analogue don’t like to make compromises, but, many roads lead to Rome and they found new and nice ones along the way. The new chassis topology is focused on high mass in the centre of the bearing. This new bearing is extremely stiff and robust as well as being a low friction design. High inner inertia and an oil bath wet sump approach make this bearing a perfect partner of their high torque motor design resulting in low rumble and smooth operation.
Turntable supplied without tonearm or cartridge as standard. We recommend a Sorane or Michell tonearm which can be fitted at time of purchase.
