Accuphase
September 23, 2024We are delighted to announce that Frank Prowse Hi-Fi have been appointed as the new home for Accuphase in Western Australia.
With the recent closure of long time Accuphase specialist Revolution Turntable from retail operation, we were very keen to reconnect with the wonderful brand. I have personally had a connection to Accuphase from its very beginnings through Alberts Hi-Fi and Arena Distributors here in Perth. Arena having been the only ever distributor of Accuphase in Australia since its inception in the early 70’s.
The original company was founded by brothers Nakaichi and Jiro Kasuga when they left Trio Kenwood Corporation (now JVC Kenwood) to form a separate company dedicated to solely manufacturing exceptional quality audio products.
They formed Kensonic Laboratories and their first range of products released were under the brand name Accuphase.
They took the audio industry in Japan to a new level of build quality and performance and the initial products they released in 1973 P-300 Power Amp C200 Pre Amp and T-100 AM/FM tuner are still highly sought after to this day. We have been involved in the total restoration of many of these for our discerning clients.
On their 10th Anniversary Kensonic Laboratories was renamed Accuphase Laboratory Inc.
We have received some of our initial floor stock and would be delighted to demonstrate this wonderful brand to you.
