Emotive Emotiva

It’s been a fairly reasonable wait, but the wait is now over! The new GEN 3 XPA range of multichannel power amplifiers from Emotiva have now landed in Australia, and our initial listening sessions have been very favorable! Offering fantastic value for money, the new GEN3 have a modular approach meaning the ability to increase the number of channels rather than replace the whole amplifier and buy a new one. We will have a more in-dept post on these units in the coming weeks, but we would like to highlight another wonderful product range from Emotiva that has left us amazed at the performance for the asking price – the Emotiva Airmotiv active speakers/monitors.

There are three models in the Airmotiv range but the flagship 6s offer incredible performance, build and value for money. Offering RCA and XLR input, these beauties offer 210W per channel of in-built amplification. You have tilt and shelving adjustments allowing fine tuning to the location of the speakers. Just add your (variable output volume) source to these impressive speakers and the detail and coherence will amaze. The best part? – $999 a pair!
