Why Buy…a Rega Brio-R Amplifier?

While the hi-fi industry and the stereo market have been overshadowed over the last few years by the home theatre revolution, it has always been here. Size
This thing is tiny! Well, not tiny, but this is a half-width, shoebox-sized component, so if space is a limitation, this will most likely fit the bill. Add in the matching DAC/CD player into the mix and you have a serious audio contender without the large footprint typical of stereo components.

Less is More
Controlling the Brio-R couldn’t be easier – there are no tone controls to be found within this unit – purity of signal is paramount and a shorter signal path results is amazing detail and resolution, staying true to the recordings played through it.

Vinyl
As turntables has been in Rega’s DNA for 43 years, you can expect substantial performance from the in-built MM phono pre-amp. The inclusion of a high quality phono stage means a simple plug’n’play approach to record player connectivity and ensures sound quality is all the better for it.

Performance
Of course all of the above would be a waste of time if the Brio-R didn’t have a heart. Rated at 73 watts (4 Ohms), this unit has guts and gusto! Whether it’s driving a small, compact bookshelf pair, or a large revealing set of floorstanding speakers, this little unit gives it’s all, with a sound quality usually reserved for more expensive rivals.
